If blog is porn
If blog is porn, then ...
It might sound weird but I got the idea from Karen
Hobbs in a post that I had actually misunderstood. (well, English is
not my birth language..., my comment look a little bit dull...). It doesn't look
close but thinking about it, I start to realise that both are similar to some
extent. You can observe funny correlation about watching porn or reading a blog.
A lot of blogs are personal diaries or random thought, so the author allows
total strangers to look in his intimate thoughts, you could say that porn actors
show the use of their intimate parts in a way that you shouldn't see
usually.
Are blogger assuaging an exhibitionist leaning when
writing personal diaries?
Then what about the reader? Well, porn watchers are
trying to satisfy some sexual excitements, by definition they also display an inclination
toward voyeurism. Is the satisfaction provided by reading blogs be of the same
nature?
At the end of the day, the real question is what do YOU
feel when writing and reading blogs? Have you been writing a personal
diaries before?
I know that I always wanted to write a diary but
couldn't go into the regular discipline of writing daily, weekly or whatsoever.
In blogging, the fact that others may read, give me the small but decisive push
to go on writing. Not because of what they might think or say, just because
there might be someone reading.
