Snow and Hutton enquiries

The two last days have been really cold, the weather program describe it as artic blast. It's the first time I see that amount of snow in Leicester, everything has been covered  by a little more than 1 cm of  snow. Although a lot of roads have been salted, there has been a lot of accident around. All the pavements are frozen, and some of my workmates have fallen due to the frost. It's really an unusual event, but the sun has been shining all day and it might improve.

All the news and journals are full about the Hutton report publication that clear the UK governement of any wrongdoing about the death of Dr Kelly. My two favourite newspapers, "The Guardian" and the "The Independent" have written similar conclusions about the finding of the report, the main word is whitewashing. The big problem of Kelly was to have found such a bad journalist, if Gilligam had used in a more habile way his confesion, the whole events would have been different and probably there would have been an inquiry addressing the issue of the real reason of waging the war and not about bad journalism, bad spin. May be that Dr Kelly would still be alive.

Try living in Northern Michigan. We count snowfall in feet.

Hicky1: Hey George
Hicky2: Hey John
Hicky1: So how many cubic tons of snow did you clear out tonight?
Hicky2: Well I got the first couple hundred done but my truck...
Hicky1: Breaked?
Hicky2: Broke.
Hicky1: Whatever.
Hicky2: Yeah. Maybe tomorrow I can finish the rest.
Hicky1: Hopefully. You still need to clear out my living room.

I know, I know, but we're talking about UK... the country where the temperature is occasionnally lower than 7 and more than 15. Really ocean influence. Actualy the temperature at my birth place is 12 today...

Nice Joke anyway
